The fourth annual Philadelphia International Unity Cup will kick off in August. 52 teams will compete in this year’s soccer tournament. In order to determine which teams will play against each other in the group stage, the Unity Cup will host a draw event in early June.
Please join us on Friday, June 7 at 11 a.m. at Independence Visitor Center (6th and Market Streets) for this year’s draw event.
The draw gets its name from the drawing of ping-pong balls with individual countries’ names pulled from a bin. Once the draw is complete, there will be 13 groups of four teams that will compete in the August group stage matches.
After the group stage is complete, half the field (26 teams) will advance to the knockout rounds, eventually crowning a champion in October.
