In partnership with the Office of Arts, Culture, and the Creative Economy; Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, City of Philadelphia Office of Immigrant Affairs, The Mural Arts Program and Small But Mighty Arts, the Philadelphia International Unity Cup planning team is seeking volunteers to help in workshops or community engagement events for the Art Banner Project. Volunteers will work with artists or attend events to engage with local immigrant community members to participate in a creative project to design team banners that will be featured in the Parade of Nations at the final championship game in celebration of the participating teams.

BANNER PROJECT VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS

  • Attendance and participation at three (3) community workshops or engagement events on  selected dates June 1-August 30, 2017
  • Attend a mandatory orientation on Wednesday, May 17, 2017  at City Hall from 5:30pm-7:30pm
  • Experience participating in community or group art projects
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse communities
  • Ability to travel to various locations throughout Philadelphia and stay for duration of workshop
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Knowledge of language other than English is a plus
